Born in Mill Hill, North London, Carole was auditioned by her dog at the age of nine and failed,
the animal barking disapproval at her direction of Kids Do Shakespeare.
This didn't deter her from adapting Mary Poppins soon after, thereby compelling her to
write, adapt and direct ever since.
Most recently she has directed rehearsed readings in Brighton (Irish Missed, The Boarding House)
and filmed a promotional DVD of her production of
A Midsummer Night's Madness which was performed in Brighton and Midhurst.
As well as classic plays by Strindberg, Chekov, Beckett and Middleton,
Carole has directed numerous Shakespeare plays, many for Theatre in Education companies in London and run workshops in Paris, Dublin, Geneva, Stratford on Avon, Lincoln and Sheffield.
She has directed over 20 compilations including works by
T.S.Eliot and Coward, to Farquhar, Sheridan, Byron and Peter Barnes.
