Peter Sowerbutts

Peter’s currently with Eastern Angles in their site-specific performance, BENTWATER ROADS. He previously worked with them on the tour of MARGARET CATCHPOLE. Since then he has toured nationally in Jacqueline Wilson’s BAD GIRLS and Roald Dahl’s GEORGE’S MARVELLOUS MEDICINE, played Mr.Boo in THE RISE & FALL OF LITTLE VOICE at the Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds and enjoyed several years as the Artistic Director of the Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich. On television Peter has appeared in SUPERGRAN, RAINBOW, THE BILL and KINGDOM. Other stage roles have included Captain Hook in PETER PAN, Duncan in MACBETH and The Player in ROSENCRANTZ & GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD. At Eye Theatre in Suffolk he played Dr.Rank in A DOLL’S HOUSE and Sidney Bruhl in the classic thriller, DEATHTRAP. In the West End, Peter was Sgt. Trotter in the long-running production of Agatha Christie’s THE MOUSETRAP. Sci-Fi fans may recognize his voice as he has played numerous menacing characters in recordings of DR.WHO, SARAH JANE SMITH, DAVROS and JUDGE DREDD.
