Michael Sherwin

Michael is playing Mr. Braddock, Benjamin's bewildered father, in the very successful touring production of THE GRADUATE. A native Brummie (of the Aston Villa persuasion), Michael trained at Birmingham School of Speech Training & Dramatic Art and began his career as the Giant in JACK & THE BEANSTALK. His stage career since then has included DEAR BRUTUS at the King's Head, the national tour of Stoppard's THE REAL THING and tours of PEER GYNT, CORIOLANUS and THE WINTER'S TALE. In the West End, Michael has appeared in SCROOGE, LETTICE & LOVAGE and playing Giles in THE MOUSETRAP. During the run of THE MOUSETRAP, with his wife, Angie Smith, he set up, MICHAEL BROWNE ASSOCIATES, a highly successful company providing actors for corporate roleplay, events and training exercises. Michael has, therefore, a great deal of roleplay, improvisation and forum theatre experience as well as good screen experience playing many managers, CEOs and officials for a great range of companies, government departments and NGOs. Perhaps his proudest moment on screen, though, was in a commercial for a football magazine when he finally got to blow a referee's whistle!
