Marcus Knibbs

Marcus has recently been playing Arthur Birling in J.B. Priestley's much-loved AN INSPECTOR CALLS at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven where, last year he was in THE HIRED MAN, Howard Goodall’s great musical based on Melvyn Bragg’s novel. Also at the Torch he has played Headmaster in GOTCHA and Roland in TAKING STEPS. After graduating from the Welsh College of Music and Drama in 1994,he made his professional stage debut in MY FAIR LADY at Aberystwyth. Subsequent roles have included Von Kalle in MATA , Captain Bracket in SOUTH PACIFIC and understudying both parts of the two hander NIXON’S NIXON at London’s Comedy Theatre. Television work includes BROOKSIDE, DREAM TEAM and JONATHAN CREEK. One of Marcus’s great loves is pantomime, especially villainous roles such as The Emperor in ALADDIN ( Southport ), King Rat in DICK WHITTINGTON ( Bolton ), King Jolly in JACK & THE BEANSTALK ( Hayes ), and Baron Hardup in CINDERELLA this year in New Brighton.
