David Horne

David Horne
David has directed literally scores of productions during the past two decades. The range of his work is broad but he is particularly drawn to comedy, and to modern and period classics. Among many main house theatre revivals, he has directed A DAY IN THE DEATH OF JOE EGG, ABIGAIL'S PARTY, THE FORSYTE SAGA, BEDROOM FARCE and STEAMING, all at Chelmsford Civic. Touring productions include famous thrillers such as MURDER ON THE NILE, THE UNEXPECTED GUEST, ROPE and MURDER WITHOUT CRIME, comedies such as RELATIVELY SPEAKING, AN EVENING WITH GARY LINEKER and PRIVATE LIVES as well as period classics, REBECCA, MY COUSIN RACHEL and DANGEROUS CORNER. David has also directed panto at Worthing. Organised and meticulous, David is very deft at cross-casting productions and making maximum use of limited rehearsal periods. Above all, he is a director that actors enjoy working for!
